Robots.txt Tools keeps core generator, validator, and tester processing in the browser. Optional analytics remain disabled until consent is given where required.

The Robots.txt Generator, Validator, and pasted-rule Tester process their core input in your browser. Their robots.txt text does not need to be sent to our server for those core operations.
The Robots.txt Checker is different: when you submit a public website URL, that URL is sent to our server so the service can request the site-root /robots.txt file and return the result. Do not submit private-network addresses, credentials, secrets, or URLs that contain sensitive query parameters.
Hosting and security logs
Hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, request timing, and server logs to deliver, secure, rate-limit, and troubleshoot the service.
Cookies and analytics
A necessary cookie stores your privacy choice. If you accept optional analytics, Google Analytics loads and may process usage, device, IP address, and identifier data for measurement. If you decline, its script does not load. You can change your choice through Cookie settings.
Advertising
Google AdSense is not currently enabled. The core tools work without ads.
When Google AdSense serves ads, Google and its advertising partners may place or read cookies in your browser, or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to collect information. This information may be used for ad delivery, measurement, and personalization where your consent and settings allow it.
How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
External links
Technical reference links may send you to standards bodies, search engines, or crawler providers. Those sites process information under their own privacy policies.
